Whether you consciously realise it or not, you already understand that your wedding is a luxury.

Deep, deep down in that psyche of yours, you know that the essential stuff boils down to three basic things.

1. Giving written notice of your intention to marry to your authorized celebrant, within the time frame required by the law to well, make the whole thing legal

2. Using specific words during your ceremony required by the law to well, make the whole thing legal

3. Having two witnesses to attend and – as the name suggests – witness your wedding ceremony and sign the marriage certificates required by the law to, once again, make the whole thing legal.

That’s it. That’s all you need. While you may not have technically understood those three points you already unconsciously knew it was that simple.

Weddings are a luxury. Full stop. End of story.

What you’re essentially grappling with right from the start is how much of a luxury it’s going to be.

That’s what your wedding planning – the budget side especially – really boils down to.

These financial and logistical realities do have the potential to take the fun out of things. That’s why I do what I do for you. So you can tap back into the joy and celebration that you should be reveling in.

I don’t want you to be like the bride who said to me: “I’ve loved helping other people plan their weddings, but I’ve hated planning my own.”

Enjoy!

Because I believe weddings are a unique time for intense love, optimism and hope. And if you are better informed and better prepared you will have a better chance to tap in to this joy. And more joy in the world is a good thing.
